Professional Membership
For individuals actively engaged in executive protection.
This includes, but is not limited to, executive protection agents/managers (solo or corporate), executive protection providers, executive protection training providers, and similar roles that are directly tied to the delivery of executive protection services.

Associate Membership
For individuals not actively engaged in executive protection.
This includes, but is not limited to, protective intelligence organizations, equipment and apparel companies, technical countersurveillance companies, and other ancillary services.

- No access to the membership directory
- No access to member-to-member networking reserved for Professional Members

Membership Eligibility
Applicants for Professional Membership must provide:
- Self-attestation confirming active engagement in executive protection;
- Certificate of completion from an approved school or resume confirming professional experience of 1,000 hours per year working in executive protection;
- A sponsor form from an existing member;
- An additional reference letter;
- Self-attestation confirming adherence to the IPSB Code of Conduct.
Applicants for Associate Membership must provide:
- A sponsor form from an existing member;
- An additional reference letter;
- Self-attestation confirming adherence to the IPSB Code of Conduct.
Our 2026 Board members may serve as initial sponsors during the organization’s early growth phase.
Membership Renewal
To maintain membership in IPSB, all members regardless of type must have within the preceding membership year:
- Attended the Close Protection Conference (CPC) for that year;
OR - Attended two (2) webinar and/or regional events.
